Just a PSA for those of us with Razr's showing the hdmi connected message in error. Your phone shows hdmi connected even when it's not, phone changes to landscape or completely goes blank, etc. Such a PITA!!!! I've seen people receiving advice about doing a factory reset, disabling dock service, and a host of other things that haven't been working. I also see the vast majority ended up having Verizon issue a replacement phone.
I had the same issue and solved it in about 5 seconds:
APP > SETTING > DISPLAY > Uncheck HDMI CONNECTION box.
This solved the problem for me a week ago and it hasn't come back since. So far, so good. Hope this helps!
