Droid Turbo not syncing 3rd party (cox) calendar

Hello,

I have a droid turbo and I have my email account synced with the phone and have no problems sending, receiving, generally just using my email.  However, the phone does NOT recognize, and/or wont sync my calendar.  My email account is provided through Cox (not sure if that matters), but I don't have any options to sync the calendar when adding or viewing the settings for the account.  Can you help me figure out what the issue is?

The email account might have to be setup as an Exchange account in order to sync both the email and calendar.

I have tried setting it up as an exchange account.  I also tried setting it up as a imap account, a pop3.  I tried putting it in as a Corporate account a personal account.  I feel like Ive tried everything under the sun here.
