I plugged in my Bose headset into the jack on my phone and I cannot get any sound. The phone's music is working as I can hear it coming from the phone speaker. What am I doing wrong? Thanks. Rich

Have you verified it is plugged in all the way?

Have you checked the jack to ensure it doesn't have any lint in it? Have you checked the headset to ensure it works in other devices?

I had the same issue and cleaning out the phones headphone jack solved the issue.
Lots of people appear to be having this issue, I've seen several posts on other message boards.
Motorola has a posting on it as well

My husband had to have his phone replaced due to a faulty line jack. I would try cleaning it and if that doesn't work you might need to get the phone replaced.
