Dropping 4G

I've been having an issue with my Droid Razr Maxx. Over the past month or so my phone will kick out of 4G in favor of 3G. 4G coverage where I live is excellent never had any problems up until a few months ago. Then I could power cycle the phone and that worked for a day. Now that doesn't even work. My wife's phone picks up full 4G at home, while they are sitting right next to each other. Anyone else come across this issue and if so, has anybody found a fix that will stick besides power cycle after power cycle and hope it takes?

sanwello,

I want you to be able to continue enjoying the 4G LTE speeds you have come to love. Before this started happening, did you notice any changes with your device? Normally your phone is set to Global Network. I would recommend switching to LTE/CDMA and power your phone off and on to retest. To do so, you can follow these steps: http://vz.to/1md55CH Please also try operating your phone in Safe Mode to see if the issue continues. http://vz.to/1hm3Zie

same thing happens with my Galaxy s5.  What settings would solve the no 4g network with it?

Yoohoo22,
Let's look further into this! What zip code are you located in and are others experiencing this in your area? Ensure the device is in LTE/DDMA mode by navigating to Settings>More Networks>Mobile Networks>Network Mode. Also power off the device and remove and insert the sim here http://vz.to/1ickuSJ Please test and share. Thank you.
