I am using MSN as my email service. Why am I receiving the same email 2 or 3 times in a row. I delete them and go to trash and delete them there and they still show up again. On the screen it shows I have email when I go and check it there are no new emails. Under settings when I go to the apps section it shows that I have two email accounts running at the same time. What can I do to fix this?

Have you tried deleting one of the accounts?

Go into Settings/Accounts and find the duplicate account there and delete

it. You probably have it set up twice as a MSN mail account and another

time as a regular email account...is what it sounds like.

I appreciate you bringing this concern to our attention, Cheryl. I want to ensure that you're able to easily remove e-mail address. It does look as if the MSN mail service is a POP3. Have you tried deleting them from the computer inside of the device?

I went in and deleted one and now I can't receive any emails at all. I need to reinstall the MSN account and I am not sure how to do it. Somehow I disabled the account and it went away. How do I go about getting it back and start receiving emails again?

Setting up an MSN email account on my device worked better if I used the "Exchange" account option instead of POP3 option.

Thank You for the response. How would I go about setting it up with the exchange. When it comes to these phones I am not that smart.

First remove the email account from the phone.

To set it up again select exchange for the type of email account.

Domain\username: \emailaddress@msn.com

Password:  your own password

Server: bay-m.hotmail.com

Check the box for "use secure connection (SSL)"

Port: 443

This was the settings from my Galaxy Nexus, but I got them originally from the Hotmail/Live support pages. Hopefully they work for you. Also you should substitute your email address and password for the generic info I put here.
