Every time I connect my Droid Maxx to my computer, it tries to install a Verizon Software Updater. I don't want this! How do I disable it?

Topic says it all.  I don't want more junk on my Win7 computer.  I don't want more junk running in the background.  I'm not an idiot.  I can decide for myself whether I want to upgrade my system or not.  This installer crap is unacceptable.  There must be a way to disable it - every - time - I connect my device to my computer for charge & storage. Smiley Sad
