Dkleid, I’m hooked on Facebook and always on my phone commenting on family and friend’s post and updating status so I know how frustrating it can be when it’s not working properly. But don’t worry cause I’m here to help.

Are you still having issues commenting or updating your status on Facebook? The new IPv6 standard launched globally on June 6 and will support additional and much needed IP addresses on the Internet.

Facebook communication delays have increased on IPv6, and this translates to significant sluggishness in the Facebook mobile experience.  This latency can be experienced by mobile users on many networks or carriers.  The issue is being actively investigated by Facebook.

I appreciate your patience.

I have problems like that with FB on the PC, and I know I'm not the only one. I don't think it's actually a phone/app issue personally.

That must be why VZW Support answers posts 7 days after they've been posted...at minimum. They're all on FB in India.

@Jonm095 - DIfferent animals. FB on a PC/MAC is running through the browser(s) FB on a smartphone is an app...and it is a little buggy,..mine occasionally locks up and stops responding too. I think they have some work to do to get it "right" for ICS.

Do you have documentable proof of that IPv6 statement John_B? IPv6 does much more than just "support additional and much needed IP addresses on the Internet". However, that said I have seen no references to it's "deployment" causing issues for anyone since IPv4 is still the supported fallback standard. I am a Network Engineer by trade and would be very interested in any references you might have for such a blanket (and, IMO incorrect) statement.
