GPS does not work on razr maxx

Just received replacement for my razr maxx and GPS does not work,  I can use google maps with google location services and wifi turned on but the accuracy is awful.  I've downloaded a GPS app and it cannot connect.  GPS is turned on

Any ideas. Running the latest software

I know how convenient it is to have location services on my device r_d_m! What happens specifically when using google maps or location services? It sounds like the additional gps app may be conflicting. I recommend testing the device in safe mode to rule out conflict.
