I up graded to Droid, now I want to add the new phone to my pc.
I though all I needed to do was click remove the (old phone) then click add(new device).
The pc did not automaticly find and add the new Droid. What did I do wrong?
Try this: In your phone's settings, go to Connect to PC > Default Connection Type and choose Disk Drive. When you plug it into your computer, it should recognize it as a drive. (I have a different Droid, but your menu should be similar.)
Even without changing the default, when you connect to your PC, you should see a notification in your bar that you can drag down and choose Disk Drive.
By using your USB it should bring up MotoCast But i would do some Reading on this First before you Attempt anything an as for charging the Phone i would Use the Charger that Come With it in the Box.
Have you Looked at the Online Manual it give some good Info, You might want to go on You Tube an Watch a Video or Two on Moto Cast they some Help Videos on there..

How do I use MotoCast?

Stream or download music, pictures, videos, and documents from your computer directly to your smartphone. MotoCast lets you pull content from your home or work computers at blazing fast 4G LTE speeds, providing secure, nearly instant remote access to your files.
Note: Your existing ZumoCast account will not work with MotoCast. You will need to set up a new MotoCast account…but it only takes a couple of minutes
To get started, from the home screen touch Apps > My Accounts > Add account > MotoCast ID, and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account on your smartphone.
MotoCast can be installed on one or more Microsoft™ Windows™ or Apple™ Macintosh™ computers to stream and download files. Your smartphone contains the application that needs to be installed on your computer. Connect your smartphone to the computer with a USB cable, and follow the on-screen instructions to install the application. When installed, log in to the same account you created on your smartphone, then select which computer files you want to share.
Recently captured pictures and videos will automatically upload to your remote computer via Wi-Fi. The default setting to auto-upload pictures and video is over Wi-Fi only. To change default settings, touch My gallery from the Apps menu > Touch the menu key > Settings > MotoCast settings > MotoCast auto upload settings > Check or uncheck MotoCast auto upload.
Note: If auto-upload is on and you take a picture without a Wi-Fi network available (assuming wifi is selected upload method), message "waiting to upload" will appear in the status bar.

All you have to do is hook your phone to your PC using the supplied USB chord. On your phone, in the Notification Bar, you should see the USB symbol (looks like a trident). Pull down the Notification Bar and make sure that Mass Storage is selected. Meanwhile, on your PC, first you will get an obnoxious URL which you can close. Open up "Computer" on your PC and you should see a new letter designating a new removable drive. This is your Phone. Then you can drag and drop from your PC to your Droid and visa versa. There is nothing on your PC you have to delete. Once you hook the Droid to the PC everything is automatic (including getting that obnoxious Verizon blurb).
Or, plug the phone into the USB port, select Mass Storage on the phone, open up Explore on your computer and look for the drive letter that represents your phone.
