How can I use my Verizon Droid RAZR XT912 that I paid FULL PRICE for on AT&T's network?

Based on the IMEI AT&T says that the phone is compatible.  Once again I paid my $700+ for the phone so if I want to use it with another that should be just fine.

If it's a Verizon phone you just need a Verizon Sim.  If it's not a Verizon phone sell it and get a Verizon phone to use fully on network

I don't want to use it on Verizon's network. I want to use it on AT&T

wireless. I have an AT&T micro sim and of course the gsm network will ONLY

work for emergency calls because Verizon has the US GSM carriers locked out

of the phone. I want to unlock it so I can use it on a US GSM network. I

paid over $700 for the phone new so I have paid for the ability to take it

where I want.

Any Verizon 4G comes unlocked. There's just no guarantee it will work with att or anyone else.  The bottom line is $ each wants you to use their equipment.  Can you imagine that ? Capitalism and greed. Sell your phone 3rd party get att model and you be off and rolling

The only way to know if it will work is to insert the SIM card from the other carrier. You definitely won't get LTE, but you might get HSPA+.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I actually reset the phone to factory defaults and went thru a TON of

stuff with an EXCELLENT AT&T tech support person and NO DICE. The phones

GSM capabilities are locked out of US GSM network except for emergency

calls. Now I hard set it for LTE in the programming menu and it picks up a

signal but once again it is locked from getting on the GSM network.

So basically I have a paper weight that I paid over $700 for when I bought

it new. I should have known not to trust verizon as they pulled the SAME

THING with the blackberry world edition when they locked the GPS to ONLY

work with their bloatware on the phone. It would not work with google maps

or any other GPS software. Buying any phone from Verizon is like buying a

BMW or a Benz but unless you pay them a monthly fee they will disable the

windshield wipers and the headlights. Oh yeah the car will still work but

ONLY under their terms and conditions.......
