How do I disable the screen lock pattern?

I cannot disable my screen lock pattern. When I try to change it to just swipe, after I entered the pattern, the swipe selection is greyed out and can't be selected.

Go to Settings > Security > Clear Credentials, then go back and see if you can change the screen lock.
