My new droid turbo 2 does not indicate it is connected to the verizon network extender in my home. Any suggestions?

Make sure Advanced Calling is turned off/disabled.  You cannot us AC with an extender.  Those extenders are 3G only and the phone is searching for 4G signal.  The 2 types are not compatible.

Another note - if the phone is an LTE phone which does not have a secondary CDMA radio working in the background, the device will stick to LTE at the slightest sign of a signal. In this sort of a situation, it would be best to consider a WeBoost amplifier/antenna system capable of handling LTE over the range extender from Verizon.
