I, too, was initially able to unlock my Droid Maxx by speaking the PIN , and then it quit working.

It still isn't working.  There was an update the other day & I had high hopes that it would solve the problem, but it didn't.  Frustrating.... Smiley Sad

This is quite concerning, indeed! Updates are designed to correct issues such as these.  I do see the "Touchless Control" application has been changed to "Moto Touch" by Motorola for many Motorola devices. It looks as though your specific device is scheduled to be updated soon with this feature.
