How do i get my turbo to spell out my text message instead of sending a message by voice?

everytime I send a text message using my speaker it always send it like a voice message instead of spelling out to whomever I send it to. Can I change this somehow with out have to type my message??

Tap the Microphone at the bottom left of the keyboard
