I have a Droid Maxx and I just bought a 2014 Fusion with Microsoft Sync

My Sync supports text messaging but it says "unsupported" with my phone.   I chatted with a Sync rep about it and he says that the Maxx doesn't have a firmware update that is compatible with the text message feature so it's not supported.  Does anyone know anything about this?  Like when there will be an update or a work around?

Thank you for getting back to me!  I checked for a software update a few

days ago and the Maxx says it's up to date. I can only stream music thru

actual Bluetooth too, not USB.  Also, when I'm in the car, my navigation

voice on my phone for turn by turn won't work unless I've disconnected it

from Sync or stream it thru Bluetooth media Smiley Sad  Then I have to sit in

silence and wait for the next direction.  LOL

And thank you!  I love the Fusion.  Gorgeous car!

Hello Melwell. Congratulations on your new car! The Fusion is awesome.

Sorry to hear that your phone is not able to work fully with all of the My Sync features available through your Ford Fusion. Not sure if you have updated your Maxx with the newest OS update, but that may help out as it is possible that an updated Bluetooth profile may come included, which should improve compatiblity. Currently my car only allows for phone calls, but not the A2DP profile for music, so I feel what you're going through. Have you checked car forums for your car as well? With cars, sometimes some of these extra features are hit or miss, but it's awesome when it all works perfectly. Keep us posted!

Melwell, We understand how important hands free driving is for everyone. Check the bluetooth settings and ensure "media audio" is enabled. For the overall navigation volume, once you are using the application and volume lowers, press the vol up key. You should see "navigation volume" instead of the regular volume. Keep us posted, please.
