I bought the razr yesterday at a verizon store- it was activated and the sales assistant told me it was good to go. However, when I try to text anyone, I always get the "message not sent" error. This happens every time regardless of how strong my signal is.
If you have not added much to the phone, a master reset is easy. Which RAZR did you purchase. But if the store is close by, maybe go that route. I just hate going to the stores. But that is just me

Text messaging is my main means of communication with family and friends so I know how important it is to having it working properly.
Are you able to make and receive calls ok? If you are able to make calls then the phone was activated correctly.
Try removing the SIM card for a minute or two. Insert and retest.
