KitKat 4.4 OTA has killed all passwords

I got the KitKat OTA update and it seemed to install properly, yet now when I have to put in a password, on email, google play, audible it won't let me sign on!  I didn't figure it out until I was actually chatting with Audible tech support and had already removed the app.  Then it wouldn't allow a connect to google play said it couldn't sync.  I then tried my gmail account and it failed at that.  So I removed the account and tried to re-input it.  But it will not connect to the gmail server either.  How do I revert the phone back to the previous OS.  I see no easy way to do it!  It's has been the best MP3 player I have ever owned and now this crap!

Not a happy camper!

Okay, had to power it down to fix the Google Play issue?  I guess it is going to be a bear to get all the apps I use downloaded again.  Sheesh, love these no warning updates.  No Warning as in; "OH! By the way, this is going to totally mess up your password thingys!"
