Motorola Droid Razr M scam

So I just got back from a Verizon Wireless store and I must warn everyone about the Droid Razr M. Apparently the stores are selling a cheaper made version of it and its not free. Here on the website they boast about the gorilla glass and kevlar and blah blah blah. Well when you get to the store, they have the one without the gorilla glass and everything else. It doesn't even look the same. They are charging 69.99 for the phone with an otterbox, screen protector plus $30 for a protection plan. Now this doesn't sound one bit free to me at all. Having been a customer for over a decade, this is the lowest thing I have seen Verizon do....and they have done some crappy things in the past. So make sure that if you want the Razr M, order it here. DO NOT go to the store unless you wanna get ripped off. I will be ordering mine here and having it mailed to me. Oh and their customer service has gone to crap too. Since when is it in their script to lie to authorized account holders? I must say that customer service in this country has gone to hell. Makes me glad I am not in that field anymore. If yall got any questions, comments, complaints or criticisms......bring em on. I am ready to stand up for the customer. I know I am tired of getting screwed around by cell phone companies as with alot of people. And beware because I do know alot about technology, so be careful about how you pick your fight, if thats what you intend to do.

Fed up Customer.

As far as I know there is only one Razr M.  So I don't know what they showed you.  Was the store that you visited a Corporate Verizon store or an Authorized Retailer?  They look similar if you do not pay close attention to the "signage".

I agree with breezex . I dont think a corporate store would do something like this but i have seen very shady things go on at a few different authorized retailers. One thing that sticks out is i went to a retailer and wanted a genuine otterbox case and a ladie came back with one of those flimsy plastic snap on covers you know the ones with the kick stands in a otterbox box. The box didnt even look real. That was my last trip ever to a retailer.                                                                                                                                                   Jesse

I decided to skip the Waco Verizon store and pick up a Lucid 2 in Albuquerque. Now I am wondering if getting the free phone was such a good idea. For one, they should have used the corning gorilla glass. I had a freak of nature happen where the smoke detector fell off the ceiling and hit the corner of my phone smashing my whole screen. Now the bottom bar is constantly lit up and when I try to display the screen the backlight takes a million years to light up. And the one time we dont get insurance is the one time I need it. I plan on fixing the screen myself cuz its a cheap fix, but not sure whats going on with the internal glitches. Any suggestions?
