Are we talking about music you loaded yourself on your phone? Or are we talking Google Music?   The music you load yourself can be deleted via hard long press as you already know. You can also hook via usb to your home computer and when your phone turns into a mass storage device you can right click and remove all the albums you want in computer view.  If its from the Google Player log on from your computer and delete songs and playlists or whole albums then click sync. The music should be off the phone.  You can also just Google what you want to do to get step by step instruction via your web browser.  Good Luck

Dave are they on your SD Card or in the Internal Storage of the phone?  If there on your SD card and you don't mind flushing the other content on it.. Say like pictures you could Format the card that would be a one way of clearing the songs..

Dave you might give this look as well:  It's an App called ASTRO File manager you can get the app in a Payed or Non payed version and it can help in the way of Organizing your files this includes Music files.. b33
