How do I restore the bluetooth auto-connect feature?
Solved! Go to Correct Answer
Es71,
We understand the importance of using bluetooth for safety. I encourage you to remove all bluetooth connections and reconnect all of them. This will allow for a fresh connection to be established.

We definitely want your Bluetooth working properly for you, zhughes33. What model Bluetooth are you using? If you try to manually connect to the headset, will it work well? Did this start after a particular application or device update?

I use it with both my car (JVC headunit) and an ear piece (PLT_M165). It has only started acting weird in the last month or so. Occasionally it will still auto-connect but not every time like it used too.
Have you tried completely unpairing both devices and re-pairing? That would be my first step...
Yes, I did a factory reset and it seemed to work at first but then it stopped connecting again.
I'm sorry you're having such troubles zhughes33! When they stop connecting, do they disconnect, or are they not pairing? Is the Bluetooth in Pairing Mode? Also, have you tried other Bluetooth devices?

I am having the same issue on my VW,Jeep and Plantronics headset. It does not appear to be dropping the connection, just either going to hold or mute. If I reselect bluetooth on the phone screen (as opposed to handset, or speaker phone) it bluetooth works fine.. Seems like it started happening when an another alert from a text/email/etc comes in.
Also does not auto connect in the cars, but seems to ok with the Plantronics headset.
