Have you found anyone else having problems connecting to Cox? I haven't. I've googled and I just can't find a similar issue.

yes...................I was told by Verizon that this has been an ongoing issue for a few months......what I can't I figure out is why did my old droid work and little one just got a apple s4 and it is setup to cox. Verizon is blaming Cox for changing servers and Cox says it it a problem wuth Verizon.......just like all the world problems blame each other and the public will pay the price.why would a app work to get email but a big company like Verizon and Cox can't solve it.

More than likely... It has NOTHING to do with Verizon or Cox... They didn't make the phone nor the software... So who does that leave?

What wrong information did they pull in? Verizon has no control over Cox email or servers.

You upgraded from the razr to the razr maxx...  They USE the exact SAME hardware, and software.  Everything is pretty much interchangeable.

What other devices have you had since you had a problem with Cox?

I tried, tried, tried...including calling cox (who of course told me to contact the cell phone provider)...wiped out all my other attempts (removing from my verizon) then went step by step very carefully per your instruction. Worked on the first try!!!! Yes, one key thing is username alone when setting up the pop and smtp...if you include the cox.net: it won't work (not in Central FL anyway)...then with the TLS settings, they have to be perfect as cox accepts ssl, not tls...but when setting up tls as you specified, it worked! THANK YOU!!! LOL, I sent an email to Verizon requesting help. I bet they won't be able to figure it out...but if they do, I'll come back and retract my statement. I'm just so used to non-support, it's turned me into a pessimist.
