i just purchased the droid maxx; however I am still running kitkat 4.2. will I be getting an update to kitkat 4.4?

The DROID Maxx is scheduled to get an update to Android 4.4 (KitKat). The Android version 4.2.x is called Jelly Bean not KitKat
