Notifications are Gone after Update

I downloaded both of the new updates for my Turbo 2 without a problem.  Since then, anytime I receive a text message or miss a phone call, there is nothing beside my icons on the home screen or in my app menu.  I do see an icon in my notifications bar, but that's it.  How do I get the notification to show up with my apps too?

It actually applies to all apps: Facebook, messenger, etc.
