Picture retrieval

I have a motorola droid razr and it won't turn on.  It's already being replaced by asurion due to factory default, however I have a lot of pictures on my phone that I need access to. Is it possible to retrieve the pictures without the phone turning on?  The phone isn't completely dead because the green light turns on when I plug it into a charger.  I've already tried to soft reset it as well.

I would consider trying to connect it via usb to a computer, and see if the computer can open up the file drive
