I just picked up a RAZR. The on-phone tutorial shows a battery management feature in the settings, but in actuality, there is no such critter on the phone. There's a battery status feature, but it doesn't permit any type of management, simlar to what I have on the DROID Global 2. With the fixed battery and the 4G drain, is there any way we can maximize our battery settings on this phone? I know there is an external supplementary battery in the charging kit, but.... dragging that everywhere can't always be convenient.
VZ tech support was even surprised to find this out today. So, anyone know a trick or an app for this? Thanks.

Smart Actions are good. Also, JuiceDefender is a great free app (with more options in paid versions) that you can get from the Market.
I know a lot of people complain about battery life, but I have not really had bad problems. If I'm streaming data (cloud music, gps navagation driving) it drops down but I would expect that. Normal use of some talking, some photo shoots, checking email, reading forums, web surfing have not found it to be a problem.

As honors21 said, it is an included app called "Smart Actions." Unfortunately it is more of a sales pitch than an application that is actually useful. It is missing the following triggers:
Car Dock
Media Dock
It seems to me you would want to turn on GPS, Bluetooth, and Data, and turn off WiFi when you connect to the car dock. Unfortunately you can't do that because there's no trigger for it. Yet it knows when you are connected so it can activate the mobile options page?
Your better option is to add power widgets to your homepage. There again, though, they dropped the ball. They have built in widgets that toggle WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS with one tap. But they left out the Data toggle. Fortunately you can add that as an app.

I wish I could set up a trigger to change to 3G. I have 4G at work but it is only 3 bars. I use 3G to save battery life at work.

I am getting 14 plus hours of battery life with moderate usage. This phone has absolutely no battery drainage issues that I have experienced with other phones. I think some people will complain about ANYTHING that comes out. There is no way you don't have access to a charger of some sort in a 14 hour period.
