My phone was stolen, but I was able to get it back. Problem is the scoundrel deleted my photos. Is there any way to recover the deleted photos?

Unless you had them backed up somewhere, you probably can't recover them.  If they were on the SD card, you could try recovery software ... it's been a long time since I've used one, so can't recommend one; this thread may help:

It's so good that you can still get your phone back. And in this case you can have a very big chance to recover the deleted photos from your phone. You could try Card Data Recovery which will help you recover pics without casusing any data damage to your photos. It is a very professional photo recovery program.  My friend recommend this wonderful software to me and he had used it successfully recovered photos, music, etc. from his cellphone memory card. Just have a try! http://www.card-data-recovery.com/windows-data-recovery.htm

This sounds like a salesperson from the company, so be careful if you try it.

I hope there is something that you can do to get them back, but for future pictures, I use DropBox to back up my photos from my phone. It does it automatically for you, as soon as you take a picture, it drops it up into the cloud.

Sorry to say it, but if recovery software doesn't work on your SD card (and there are several out there, you might want to try more than one; I can't remember the one I used a few years ago, unfortunately, but it did recover mine), then I'm afraid the photos are lost.  While this doesn't help with the current situation, as noted elsewhere, for the future, you may want to back up your photos from now on to your computer or to the cloud.

Just to let you know, I have my problem solved. I found this android phone photo recovery guide which helped me get back deleted photos from droid phone. You can read it here if you also need to recover photos from droid phone.

I'm confused.  When you asked the original question, it was suggested that you try recovery software, such as Asoftech Photo Recovery, but you said it "does not work".  Now you said your problem is solved by using that same software.  Just for future reference, what went wrong the first time?

sorry for the confusion, I was trying pinkblue2334's suggestion, but not working, so I replied back but then somehow I replied your post. then I searched around and saw your post, went to asoftech website, and found some tutorials over there, then I tried that related one and it worked for me.
