Select all to delete gmails

I have a Razr M.  Just learned that some missing e-mails have been going into one of my g-mail accounts and there are 999+ e-mails in that account.  I know how to select and delete, and I found instructions on how to do it in an e-mail app, but not g-mails.  Any help out there?
