Unable to download pics to PC after most recent update

When I connect the phone to PC, it now shows up as a CD Drive E Installer.  I installed the "Software Upgrade Assistant."  I have rebooted phone and PC both, but it still is listed as CD Drive E Installer and says there are no pics to install.
