When does it happen? What app causes this problem?
Try in this order:
- Soft reset.
- Settings > Apps > All > Contact storage "clear data and cache"
- Clear cache and data on any app that causes this process to crash.
- Clear cache partition for the phone.
- Factory reset.

Thanks for responding!
I have an extensive contacts list with a lot of notes. Will I lose all contacts by doing this? Is there a way to save contacts before resetting? Wish there was a way to print my current contacts.
I do not know what application caused this. Seems to have started after updating several apps automatically. I can't remember which ones. Tried deleting all recently downloaded apps that were running in the background. No Luck. Keeps getting worse. Can't edit or add any more contacts. Even internet browser has finally started acting up, keeps looping to home page and I can't even enter a search item - ugh!

If your contacts/calendar are in Google, then the will still be there after the factory reset.
Otherwise use Verizon's Backup Assistant to back them up first.
Also if they are not in Google, I would put them there.

Did you try any of the things that I suggested? For contacts do as JJH suggested. I use Google Gmail to backup my contatcts. If the browser is acting up too then clear the cache for it also.

How do you clear the cache partition?
