WIFI and SD card issues

I've had so many problems with my phone since the latest update. For one, my phone doesn't connect to WIFI. When and IF I can ever get it to connect, it always shows a poor signal. The biggest problem is that I keep getting an error message that my SD card was unexpectantly unmounted. I have never removed my SD card. I've checked to make sure that it is properly in and that doesn't seem to be a problem. Every time it shows that error, everything from my SD card is still on my phone (pictures, music, etc), but all of my shortcuts on my screen change to the Droid figure. I have to delete all shortcuts and then add them back. I've called technical support. I've been to my local store. We've done 2 master resets on the phone and it does nothing but get worse and worse and worse. And to top it all off, this SD card area, is killing my battery life. Phone doesn't last more than 6 hours on standby. Any suggestions?

Geigei7368, I regret to see that you've had so many issues with your phone after the update. Updates should certainly resolve problems, not add new ones. We don't want you to have to constantly delete your shortcuts and re-add them. Please clear your cache partition from your phone http://vz.to/10NaCip and test again. This does not erase information, but is similar to clearing cache or cookies on a computer. If you're still having these issues afterwards, boot phone into safe mode http://bit.ly/PfOnz8 to test if a 3rd party application may be causing the issue. Safe mode disables all third party applications.

Let me know if you need further assistance.
