Where/How do I update my Android system version?

I have Android system version 6.0.1 that was installed on January 1, 2017. My Sonos system is only compatible with version 7.0 and later. Where can I get Version 7.0 and install it?

Which phone do you have?  It sounds like you have an older phone if the last update was received in 2017.  Most phones only receive 2 years of software updates; so there is a good chance that your phone is not going to ever go higher than the version it is on now.
