I have the same Droid Maxx & it is as good as it gets with CDMA reception. It can still hold a call without dropping in the very bottom of our buildings parking garage (3 floors underground)
Based on limited tests this morning, it appears that my phone needs to be set on "LTE/CDMA", not 'Global". I believe this setting was a result of an software update rather than any action by me (I don't know anything about the "Preferred Network type".). How is it I'm still able to use a 15 year old refurbished PC running XP (I have newer laptops), but have a maybe 4 year old phone design which is being made inoperable by software updates??
First time in a week or so without a lost call.
Kudos to Ann154 and DigitalRules.
Could you tell us mere mortals where to find this sort of info?
Way too much time spent on this community forum is how.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
