I have to agree with you there. But I think Verizon needs to put pressure

Motorola to step up or pull the product of the shelf.

Like anything with mass production...  Every item should be pulled from the shelf.  There is always a 5% fail rate when it comes to mass production.  So if <5% says there is something wrong doesn't mean all the devices have problems.  There is We can go through every single device today and find someone complaining about something being faulty.

The BEST thing people can do right now is pressure Motorola and send in their devices to them for testing and repair.

That's for Darn Sure Tidbits is Right i'v had my First Maxx for just little over 9 Months with no Glass issues i don't have it in any Case i put it in my Flap Holster when i go some were  I DO NOT STICK my Phones into my Pockets and i watch the Temps right now i'm streaming Slacker Radio and my App System Panel is saying the Temp is at 87 degrees Fahrenheit) i will Quote what Ann154 said Good Signal Equates to less pull on the Battery and the Phone itself and thus it keeps the Temperatures Down.. And less heat stress on the internals of the Device..

Well this is how it is going to go for Motorola and Corning. I was sitting with 5 of my fellow Wal-Mart associates who were mostly iPhone users and they were discussing going to the new Droid Razr Maxx HD( even though Apple fanboys NEVER leave Apple ) and I told them about the Gorilla Glass cracking for no fault of the user (me included). I mean hey why CAN'T I sit on my phone all day. It says GORILLA Glass. Gorillas are super strong. I am pretty sure none of them will be buying anything with Gorilla Glass because of my lies and fabrications. Also, eyebrows went up when they heard that Verizon was not supporting their customers either with this issue. Even though it's something I made up and have no actual proof of, but if I say it enough it might be true.

@commonsense101 If you read first instead of speaking you wouldn't sound so ignorant. ONLY 2 phones have cracked and it wasn't the gorilla glass as yours was. It was the LCD behind it. August 7, 2012 Motorola sent notification to Verizon of this issue as a defect in the LCD panel. If you have this issue Verizon replaces the phone. One of the 4 phones was a "Like New" 100 point inspected phone that looked like they pulled it out of the garbage which can be seen here: http://www.motorazrcracked.com/refurb-pictures/. So yes I on my 4th phone!

How do you know that Motorola sent notification to Verison?  When I showed Verison my phone, they had never seen or heard of such a breakage.....

You have to know about it. They will not tell you. Give them the date that the notice was sent to them. I had to do this on the last replacement. They tried they didn't know thing on me too. check out my site www.motorazrcracked.com

Thanks, I will definitely check into this.  Motorola has apparently fixed my phone and it's on its way back to me via FexEx as I type.  We'll see in a day or two!!!

The same thing happened to me tonight. I have done absolutely nothing that would cause a crack in my phone. I have had my phone for 5 days. Tonight my phone had spider like cracks on the inside of the phone. It was just. Sitting on the desk when it cracked. The screen is green and purple with black spot on bottom and the touch screen no longer works. I can't turn the phone off because of the touch screen not working. It's so frustrating.
