Has anyone had any luck with restoring the WIFI capabilities on their Razr M after upgrading to Kit Kat? WIFI still technically works, but its range is significantly reduced since receiving the latest Android update. Now, the phone's WIFI is either unable (or barely able) to connect to previously established networks (b/c of weak or no signal).
Is there a patch forthcoming to resolve this? Within other discussion threads, I've read trying a factory reset might resolve the issue...?

Hi ahp103! I want to ensure you're able to maintain a WiFi connection with your Motorola Droid RAZR M device.
Have you tried removing http://vz.to/1ktF6UW and readding http://vz.to/1ktFgvt the WiFi connection? I would also like to suggest soft resetting the device following these steps: http://vz.to/1ktFmmG. Please let me know how this works out for you. Thanks!

Thanks for the response, Anthony. Unfortunately, "forgetting" and then reconnecting to the desired wireless networks -- nor a soft reset -- resolved the problem.

Thanks for replying Ahp103! Let's see if any app is causing this. Try this and retest:http://bit.ly/RYkwKk If the issue persists please back up and perform a hard reset. Here's how: http://bit.ly/Vo3Hi8

In safe mode, I repeatedly receive the "Unfortunately, Homescreen has stopped" popup message. Over and over again.

Thanks so much for following up! That's definitely out of the ordinary. Are you able to force closer the function through Settings > Apps > Manage applications > All > Clear Data and Cache

That isn't out of the ordinary. I'm having the same problem. I've soft reset, restarted, and master reset the device. Did nothing.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing the degradation of wifi signal strength since upgrading to KitKat issue -- I think. Because of feedback like this, I'm reticent to factory reset and waste the time reinstalling apps, adjusting settings, etc.
Verizon: are you working on a patch to address this issue?

I wouldn't bother, honestly they should have had this fixed during the soak test. There's no excuse for this. I've had issues with every update they do. As much as my bill is I've had it. I'm gonna call them shortly to let them know I'm switching carriers.

Gblake13 We apologize that the wifi hasn't been working properly since the update. Does this happen with all wifi connections or just a specific one such as home or work wifi?
