Some pre-installed apps cannot be deleted, only disabled. Go to Settings > Apps > All (flip the menus left to get to All).
Touch an app to gets its menu. Touch Uninstall or Disable. Some apps must have Updates Removed before you can uninstall or disable them. Some apps can be neither disabled nor uninstalled. This is also where you go to delete an app's data or cache or force close it. Disabled Apps go to the bottom of the list.
