A warranty replacement will be a refurbished device. That is the policy set forth under the manufacturers responsibility to warranty your device for 12 months after you buy it. Verizon files the warranty claim on your behalf and pays for your shipping costs. The manufacturer is not required to provide a new device only a working one if your device has a "manufacturers issue."

We absolutely want to help make sure your RAZR Maxx is back to work for you quickly, garywa. When you say the speaker quit working, what do you mean? Are you able to hear calls on speakerphone, or hear alerts for calls or messages, or listen to music without using a headset? Has the phone been exposed to any moisture or had physical damage? Please share a few more details. We may be able to help find a way to fix the phone you have without needing your warranty replacement. For more information about the warranty program too, please visit http://vz.to/uyYF0o.
