That's a great question, p9. The Maxx stores all of your messages on it's 32GB of Onboard Memory. You also have the option to download programs like Verizon Messages http://vz.to/1q9CHkE to sync with other sources.

Thanks, I had to rest my phone, is there any way to retrieve this information after a reset?

If by 'reset' you mean you did a factory reset and prior to that you didn't back up your texts (or you weren't using Verizon's Integrated Messaging), then I'm afraid they're gone.  To avoid this in the future, you may want to install an app from the Play Store that provides for text backup/restore or switch to Verizon's Integrated Messaging.
