won't automatically connect to home WiFi

My Droid razr maxx HD is set to automatically connect to WiFi but doesn't connect to our home or any other WiFi unless I turn it off and back on.  Even then it sometimes doesn't until after a few tries.  Any suggestions?

uwakeup,

Oh no! We want you to be able to enjoy using you wifi connection on your device. Have you always had issues with the phone not automatically connecting to wifi? If not, did you download any new apps or software around the time this issues began? have you tried removing and readding the preset wifi connections? http://vz.to/ZdJwYN

No new apps. This has been going on for several months now. It occurs in

hotels when I am away from home too. Unfortunately, it is intermittent.

Once in awhile it just connects like it should. I have removed and readded

the wifi presets. This started with the latest update...same time I lost

my Swype keyboard and a few other problems.

Thanks for providing that update. We will try a couple of things to see if we can pinpoint the issue for you. If you are near a location that can get wifi, try performing a reset of wifi http://vz.to/1yIDa3U and then try to connect. If that doesn't work then try putting the phone in safe mode http://vz.to/Zrrgv0 and then try to connect and see if it works the normal way. Please keep us posted on these steps.
