DSL filter with FiOS Digital Voice?

I recently upgraded to FiOS Digital Voice.  I want to change the landline phone in my kitchen.  Can I remove the old DSL filter that has been on that line?  Or does FiOS Digital Voice need the DSL filter?

Definitely get rid of any DSL filters.  Not used by FIos.
