On 8/9 I switched from copper to digital. Caller ID is still showing wrong name. I've called numerous times and spoke with tech support. I've had Verizon phone service since 2009.
1st Time - I was told that I needed to call billing and have them provision my account.
2nd Time - I was told by billing that is was a tech support problem and that other companies needed to fix on their end. I was told to give it a week and it should be fixed. Well it is; however with only certain people. Two people with Verizon - our name comes through correct with one and incorrect with the other.
If it was fixed, why would it show up correct on one person's caller id and incorrect on another person's caller id, when both of them have Verizon?

Hey jct, what happens when you call someone does your name and number show correctly. If you receive two calls one with correct caller ID and the other with incorrect caller ID then this person has to call the Database Administration Center to update their profile.

The problem wasn't with incoming calls but with outgoing. Our name got switched somehow when we switched from fios standard phone to digital voice. Hopefully all will be fixed tomorrow because I'm going back to standard fios phone service. At least until all the bugs are worked out with digital voice.

Apparently, this isn't easy to fix. I've been given the run-around and after holding for 40 minutes, I was told "that department is closed." It wasn't closed when the call started. Hopefully you're not getting mail and phone calls for the person. I just began with Verizon and may switch over to another provider because it's absurd trying to get help. Good luck.
