Home Phone outage

My home phone in the 607 area code (607-756-XXXX)  has been out all day long.  I created a repair ticket, but does anyone know if there is a general service outage?

call c/s request to forward all incoming calls to your cell phone until it is fixed,  so you never missing any calls.
