Why is it impossible to get thru to Verizon. There is a tree laying precariously on the phone lines but when you try to report it it is impossible. A full 15 minuets and still no way to make the report. No wonder people are ditching land lines. Unfortunately we need ours just to get internet ( BTW Verizon DSL is incredible poor) other wise I would ditch the land line altogether and just use my tracfone.

I was just trying to do the same. Contact options lead you to nothing that pertains to this same problem I have. Neighrs palm tree behind us have a huge Palm tree that the never prune and all the heavy spiked fan leaves/branches are piled up on multiple lines that are harnessed to utility pole. Some maybe be electrical but I know for a fact one of them is my phone internet and TV line. There is about 4 years worth odd dead branches suspended on these lines just waiting to snap. I will not be a happy camper when my service is cut off. Doesn't Verizon enforce homeowners keep the lines free of debris? Who does one contact to get it enforced before it's too late?

can't the local authorities help? call police nonemergency phone number or fire dept and then ask them who they call when they have downed wires
