I am wanting to deactivate our inline voice mail. How do I do this. I have an answering machine ("on the counter" type) that is more convenient for our family. However, there are times when the inline voice mail overrides my answering machine and I would like to deactive it for this reason.
Any help you could give us would be greatly appreciated!

That feature has to be removed from your account. You don't pay any extra for voicemail, but an order from the sales office has to go through to take it off the account. I have sent you a private message for more information.

Still can't get phone messages, from my phone mach or your service.

You can change the number of times your phone rings before voicemail picks up. Set your Verizon voicemail to pickup after 8 rings. By doing this, your answering machine will always pick up before the Verizon voicemail does.
