Tv and internet work but no Fios phone dial tone. Telephone Goes out when rain and comes back on when stops and dries outside. Phone Tech said not possible for rain to be the problem. Tech coming tomorrow to look into. I cannot believe just coincidence. Problem started after a bad storm in area .
A few questions to get the ball rolling...
Which model ONT is present (Alcatel-Lucent [Nokia] 211, Tellabs 611, Tellabs 612 or something else)?
Is the ONT mounted inside or outside?
When the telephone service is out....a spare single line telephone can be directly connected to the jack on the ONT so dial tone can be checked at the source.
Has this been attempted?
If so, what were the results?
What did the technician find? 🤔
