Billing Error - Wrong Address

All,

Verizon has reported a late payment to the credit bureau related to a personal wireless account that I have since transferred to a business account WITH Verizon, without notifying me that I owed a balance. I have come to find out that they had been sending the bill for this amount to the wrong address. They then passed it on to 2 collections agencies, giving them the wrong address. Because neither Verizon nor the credit agencies emailed me or attempted to contact me another way, I had no way of knowing I owed this amount. They applied a collection fee (which I do not believe I owe) and reported a late payment to the credit bureau which impacted my credit score 161 points. I have attempted to call Verizon multiple times this week, spending hours of my time on the phone trying to get this matter corrected. I have been disrespected multiple times and hung up on. They have insisted they have the right address on file when I have proof that they have used the wrong address as I had customer service send me a copy of the bill that was sent and the collections agencies confirmed they had the wrong address on file. I know they had the ability to check to see if they had the correct information because I have received bills related to my corporate wireless account and my home internet account WITH Verizon.  This has truly been one of the worst customer experiences of my life. I am fully expecting Verizon to correct their reporting to the credit bureau and for Verizon to refund me the late payment fee. Please reach out to me as soon as possible to resolve this matter.
