Please Help!
Hello all. My name is Rob. As I am attempting to purchase my first has forced me to scrutinize my credit report. I appear to owe Verizon Wireless, South (anymore of this division of the company is cut off on the site I am using) some $6,800+.
However, I do not now, nor have I ever been linked in a contract with Verizon. I don't own a Verizon phone or tablet. I've never had a phone number generated by Verizon nor have I ever visited a Verizon store.
I'm not sure where this came from but appearantly the account was closed on June 30th, 2024 but there is no information listed unlike all my other creditors. There is no account numbers listed nor even a customer service number which I could call to try and resolve this issue.
My son tried to tell me that I could owe Verizon because of my current carrier. That is not possible as Metro-PCS is not related to Verizon nor would any carrier continue service if I owed them nearly 7k in US dollars.
Not to mention that the only way to end up with that much debt to a cell phone service provider is in phones or tablets.
