Help with matter/ Verizon CS rep please respond

I would like some assistance on this matter. I had 2 lines of service at Verizon, and I ported 1 line to T-Mobile, and I was under the impression that when I did this, the second line would close also. I checked my second device tonight and it came up and said it was still active.  I can't verify why I am getting this message because Verizon shut down My Verizon link and I have no access to any off my account information at this time.  The only account information I do have access to is the last part of my account number.

If you had 2 lines with Verizon but only ported out 1, the other line will still be active until you ask Verizon to disconnect the service or port out the 2nd line elsewhere.

As for not being able to access your account anymore, I suspect it's because the line you ported out was the account owner line and the 2nd line was a "non registered device" in the account.  When you port out the account owner's line, all login access to My Verizon is revoked because the 2nd line did not have a separate My Verizon login (hence the "non registered" status).  If you plan to keep the 2nd line, try registering that number in My Verizon as if you'd never been a customer ever so it will have its own login.
