My credit score dropped due to a verizon charge and I am not sure what happened

Hi there,

I am very confused with what happened. I got a credit alert from credit Karma that my score dropped by 109 points. When I checked the reason was "verizon wireless -south" $377 account closed. I am very confused as I haven't had a personal account that I closed, I only had my phone number in a verizon family plan long time ago and I moved it to T-mobile. I never left anything unpaid nor got a bill. I had a perfect credit score (above 800) which is a great prove that I pay everything on time for many years now. I am very confused with what happened, what am I charged with and how is it sent to credit collectors if I haven't even been notified that I owed something. Please help me understand what happened?  What number I can call with Verizon?

I had to create a Verizon account to write on this discussion board. I am not even a customer..

I'm wondering if you were an account manager on the now-closed Verizon family account, or the account owner named you as a manager after the fact to duck a bill.  Or the account owner just never paid their last bill and so it got sent to you somehow.  In any case, sure hope you get this straightened out.
