PAID Account closed and Verizon reported me- how to remove this from my credit???! Please Help !

I was with Verizon for years and when I closed my account in December the app told me I had zero balance.
I closed the account with customer service, I had some outstanding trade-in and rebates pending and had them apply the credit toward the final bill and I paid off the remaining balance.
I was out of the country for few months due to a family emergency.
there were no bills/letters from Verizon or a credit collection agency- I checked my credit score to find out that its reported as outstanding balance and my score dropped 200 points.
I tried calling debit collectors they don't have the option to remove them.
Please please please help me!

I was with Verizon for years and also you guys are preferred vendors for my employer.
I never was late in any payment and would love any help provided please

Hi Maria,

  My last bill was Sep-29th - as per the collection, it shows a 400 balance on my account. The exact amount is 400. Can you please email me or call me

How was this resolved? All the private messaging doesn't help your customers who have a similar problem

Hi Phodge, we understand the importance of getting your credit concern straightened out. If the balance is being reflected with a collections company you would need to contact them directly to dispute it.

I was with Verizon for years and when I closed my account in December,

I had some trade-in credits and rebates not applied correctly, I called a customer service representative to close the account and paid all the balance due - I confirmed and reconfirmed that my balance will be ZERO and credits will be applied and then closed my account. 

I have been with Verizon for years, even Verizon is my preferred wireless provider for my employer.   I never missed a payment OR had delays in paying my bill ever.

 I had to travel out of the country for 2 months due to a family emergency and came back to realize that no one at Verizon can help me.  The credit flag on my account reduced my credit score by 200 points, I 

I never got any bills, I checked my credit report and called the number there connecting me to  I a debt collector! Verizon is unreachable and I want them to remove this from my credit as I paid.  I have not been deliquent with them and it is not right just because you leave the company that they put you to collections and drop your credit score.

Please please please help me !!
