I have had my phone number with Verizon since I was a teenager, first through my parents account and then my own when I took responsbility for my line. I have never missed a payment. About a year and a half ago I went blind and I have been struggling financially on public assistance ever since. September is the first month I've been unable to make a payment due to a lull in my financial assistance from state funding to Social Security Disability. I have called in to Verizon customer support 4 times now and have been given the same answer from that department. The best that they can offer me is a payment arrangement to make a partial payment on the 7th oif October. I have no income until I get my Social Security Disability check on the 17rh of October and I am unable to make a partial payment. I have no other financial assistance. I am extremely dependent on phone for the day to day, including blood sugar monitoring and controlling my insulin pump. I am facing financial hardship and if my phone is disconnected it will make things much worse. Is there any sort of program for people in these kind of situations to receive assistance or an extension without interruption or am I just screwed? I have been told multiple times now that there is nothing thatVerizon financial services can do and I just find that unacceptable for the amount of money I pay for the service.

Iโm going thru the same thing , it takes 2 hrs to talk to someone then when I try calling back they completely block me from their services canโt talk to no one over my cell phone.. I have to go to a Verizon store and ask permission to talk to a customer representative then wait while someone is trying to reach them on the other line .
been with Verizon for 16 years now and it was never like this..you would think after all the years of service they would treat their customers better.
we the customers made Verizon what it is now ..
I guess Iโll be taking my service somewhere else.๐๐ฝ
